DIY Plushie Adoption Cards

A small adoption card turns a plushie-making activity into a real party keepsake. It gives children a quiet, creative moment and makes their new friend feel wonderfully official.

1. Cut one easy size

Cut cardstock into 4-by-6-inch cards. That is large enough for a child to write on but small enough to slip into a favor bag. Ivory, pale blush, or warm white keeps the card feeling elevated.

2. Add four simple prompts

Write or print: “My new friend’s name,” “Favorite snack,” “Birthday,” and “Made especially for.” Leave plenty of blank space. Young children do not need a complicated form to make it personal.

3. Create a little card station

Place the cards in a shallow basket with a small cup of pens. Put it beside—not in front of—the plushie activity so children can fill out a card after they have chosen their friend.

4. Use the party palette

Repeat one detail from your party: a gold border, a blush ribbon, or a matching name sticker. That tiny connection makes the activity table photograph beautifully alongside your chairs and dessert cart.
